Sentences was selected for a yearlong development process.
Brown submitted a simple play proposal for the New Voices playwriting program, presented by Players by the Sea Theatre in Jacksonville Beach, Florida (USA) in 2016. After being selected, the program paired Brown with a dramaturgical mentor (Dave Alan Thomas) through nine months of development, workshopping, and readings, culminating in a fully mounted production of the play. Sentences sold out its two-week run from June 9th to June 17th, 2017.
